In-Person Extracurricular Activities May Resume Tuesday, Jan. 18
All in-person extracurricular activities may resume effective Tuesday, Jan. 18. All participants are required to complete the rapid test provided by the school and submit the result no later than Friday, Jan. 14. No spectators are allowed at extracurricular activities. These activities are assessed on a daily basis based on emerging public health science and data, and are subject to change over the next month in response to the Omicron variant.
Invitation to the Sonya Kovalevsky Program at Montgomery College
Montgomery College’s Sonya Kovalevsky Program seeks to increase girls’ interest, confidence and competence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The program provides participants with innovative learning opportunities while helping them to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. There is no cost to participate our Winter Cohort Program.
Dates: Saturdays February 5, 12, and 19, 2022
Time: 10:00 am – 12:15 pm
Format: Virtually through Zoom
Spaces available: 24 (The spaces will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.)
The program is open to all Montgomery County 6th grade students. The programming for the three Saturdays is different and in series. For the best experience, students need to be present for all three Saturdays. For more information and to register, please see attached file and our website: https://www.montgomerycollege.edu/academics/stem/k-12/sonya-kovalevsky-program.html
Message for Walker and Car Riders NOT picked up in the loop
Hello Dolphin families:
We have made a change to our dismissal pattern for walkers, bike riders and student pick up when the cars are NOT in the pick up loop.
Students will be required to cross at the crossing guard (near Bloomfield) and use the sidewalk on the other side of the street. We do not want students crossing at the intersection where buses are coming in and cars are coming in and out of the student pick up line.
We need everyone’s support to follow these new expectations and keep our students safe. Please speak with your child regarding these new procedures.
Thank you.
