SISD: Handle with Care Training
Together we can mitigate the negative impact of trauma.
Join Saginaw ISD for county-wide "Handle with Care" training!
Handle with Care is a program that strengthens collaboration between law enforcement, first responders, and community mental health organizations in partnership with school leaders and staff to provide support for children and their families involved in a traumatic incident outside of school time. The program offers an opportunity for first responders to give school staff a "heads up" that something traumatic took place at a student's home and may need additional mental health support while keeping sensitive details of the event confidential.
