How quickly the school year is flying by! Monday, February 1, marks the beginning of the second semester, and the distribution of report cards for Middle/High School students is scheduled for Friday, February 5. Mark your calendars for Gemini (FLCC) spring semester course registration, which is scheduled for Friday, February 12.

ATTN 9th & 10th Graders - Interested in Healthcare for a career? Not too early to start thinking about that. On Tuesday, March 22nd, there will be a field trip to FLCC to learn more about current and emerging careers in Human Service & Healthcare. Please
pick up permission slips at the Guidance Office.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS – C
heck your school email! Mr. Lubberts has sent a survey on cap and gown colors. PLEASE DO SO PROMPTLY DUE TO THE FACT THAT JOSTEN’S WILL BE HERE FRIDAY TO TAKE ORDERS.

If you did not get the Graduation Packet for the Cap and Gown order and other
graduation accessories, please stop by the HS Office to get a packet.

ALSO, DON’T FORGET: Seniors
must purchase a yearbook by January 29th to have you yearbook personalized with you name embossed on the front cover.


ATTENTION JUNIORS! SAT Prep class at the GCC Lima Campus starts March 8th!
Classes begin March 8 and conclude April 19. The cost of the course is $137. Stop down to the guidance office for more information.

SPRING SPORTS SIGN UPS….
If you are interested in participating in a Spring sport such as Baseball, Lacrosse, Softball, Track, or Tennis, sign up during your P.E. class. GO BOMBERS!!

ALL GIRLS INTERESTED IN JV or VARSITY SOFTBALL….
there will be MANDATORY
open gyms 9-10:30 on Sundays at the elementary gym. Participation is EXPECTED if you plan on playing.

The week of February 1-5 Student Alliance will be raising funds for the Trevor
Project. T
he Trevor Project is a non-profit organization that aims to create inclusive and accepting school and home environments for all youth, including a hotline whose goal is to prevent suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender teens. The collection containers can be found in your English classrooms. Any donation, no matter how small or large, is appreciated and will go to support a great cause.

Scholarship Reminders
:
ESL Federal Credit Union Scholarship – Five $2,000 scholarships are available to high
school seniors in the Greater Rochester Area. Students and/or families that are members in
good standing at ESL Federal Credit Union and are attending an accredited college or
university in the Fall of 2016 are eligible to apply. The deadline is Feb. 1. Applications can
be found in the Counseling Office OR check your school email for an electronic link.

NHS Scholarship -Please see Mr. Lubberts if you are interested in applying for the
National Honor Society scholarship. Three hundred NHS members will receive a
scholarship award. The deadline for student applications is February 16.
