TPSP Reveal
All grade levels were able to discover their TPSP projects this week through a mystery. Ask your GT learner what they will be doing. :-) Every student needs to bring a composition notebook and a 1 inch binder if they haven't yet. Don't worry if you haven't yet. Just send as soon as you can. (Parent disclaimer- If you are checking your email at night after you got all of your kids in bed and your student goes to GT with me Monday morning, it is ok NOT to go to the store. I wouldn't either.) The binders will act as our take home folder for GT and where we will keep our TPSP calendar so you know where we are. The calendars can change throughout so you could see changes as we continue our journey.
We will begin the research portions of both projects to begin our journey. I am very excited about all of the opportunities for cross grade level collaboration these topics will provide!
Chain Reaction
We started the year off in GT by learning how we are all connected. We talked a lot about the characteristics of a chain and how each link makes the chain stronger. We took turns sharing things about ourselves and connecting to things others said. This activity was more powerful than I could have even imagined. I think this activity really helped to empower them to see and believe they belong. We are all CONNECTED as you see in the picture. Go TEAM!
GT Student Information
If you didn't complete the Student Information form on the previous smores, please click the link below to complete that now:)! This will help us stay connected throughout the year! I only have about half of our kiddos, so THANK YOU for taking the time to do this:)!
Destination Imagination
If you weren't able to stay for our Destination Imagination presentation last week, click the link below to take you right to it. Learn what it is, why you would want your student to do it, and how to get involved!
Here is also the direct link to sign up your student! Same link if you want to manage a DI team! Remember this is an opportunity for all Lobo's so if you have other children, this could be for them. :)
