News from Eli Terry
A Peek Inside the Week - Nov. 18th, 2022
Eli Terry Families...
The first part of the 2022-2023 school year has gone by quickly, and it has been an exciting time. The fall has felt like the "school" we remember; field trips, assemblies, parent volunteers and fun family events. Let's not forget the incredible amount of teaching and learning, which will be shared and celebrated soon in progress reports and parent-teacher conferences!
As the Principal and Associate Principal of Eli Terry, we are thankful for SO many things. In the spirit of the season and our gratitude campaign, we'd like to share a few of them with all of you!
We'd like to shoutout each and every one of our 504 students who come to Eli Terry every day ready to learn. They provide us all a daily reminder of what a privilege it is to be an educator and our "why". The best moments are the ones we spend celebrating all their accomplishments -- academically, behaviorally, and in the quest to become amazing humans.
We'd also like to shoutout each and every one of our families. The fact that you leave your most valuable ones with us for almost 8 hours a day does not go unrecognized. We are grateful for your support and the trust and confidence you have in our staff. We appreciate how you collaborate and advocate for your child(ren)'s education, safety, and well-being.
Lastly, we'd like to shout out the teachers, paraprofessionals, secretaries, nurses, cafeteria staff, interventionists, support staff, custodians and every Eli Terry "grown up" who cares about our student's success, and ensures, "High standards. Every student. Every day." We see dedicated and hard-working individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school.
We would like to wish all of you and your families a healthy, relaxing and happy Thanksgiving break!

The Eli Terry News Club (ETNC) is Back!
These 8 students work collaboratively to produce articles that will interest our whole school community. You will find the first issue linked below. This month they've even produced an issue dedicated to all things sports!
World Kindness Day
In addition to the school wide activity, grade-levels and classrooms also celebrated in their own ways. Students in Mrs. Botticello's Kindergarten class read a special story and kept a classroom kindness "tracker". Students earned a pink sticker for demonstrating an act of kindness and they successfully filled their tracker by the end of the day.
Let's keep the kindness flowing!
