Mr. Kern's Class
October 2015 Newsletter!
Friendly Reminders!
Students, as the first quarter starts to wrap up, remember to continue to work hard and turn in any late or missing assignments for credit! Nearly all of you have been doing very well in all subjects and I look forward to working with you everyday moving forward! Keep up the good work and do not forget to study for weekly math and history quizzes! Let's finish the quarter strong....every point counts!
Note to Parents!
With Halloween quickly approaching, Mrs. Anderson is taking the school youth group on the annual fifth grade fall field trip to Cedar Point for Halloweekends on Friday, October 23rd! It is a day full of fun and excitement and allows all students to celebrate quarter's end and enjoy themselves. We are looking for a few more volunteer chaperones and drivers to make this possible! In addition, all permission slips for the trip are due by October 15th!
September's Star Students
Congratulations to Tyler Cerny and Kaitlyn Karaffa for being selected as the "Star Students" for the month of September! Both Tyler and Kaitlyn excelled in the classroom and turned in all assignments on time while also performing above average on tests in each subject. Outside of the classroom, Tyler and Kaitlyn demonstrated acts of kindness by working together in various school and community projects. The running for October's "Star Students" has now officially begun. Remember, the only way to win the award is by coming to class everyday ready to work hard, give your best, and treat others with respect!
