Grinch Week

This week, in Reading, we are doing a unit study on The Grinch. We have discussed Characterization traits, Theme, Similes/Metaphors and an opinion writing piece with the story, The Grinch.

Friday's spirit day, is PJ day. Please have your child bring a blanket, pillow and a favorite snack that they would like to add to our class "Grinch Mix" Friday. Examples are: popped popcorn, pretzels, M&M's, chips, marshmallows, etc. Please keep in mind that we do have a peanut allergy in our classroom. We will enjoy our snack, while watching the Grinch movie. It has a rating of PG, so I will need permission for your child to watch it. Please send an email granting your child permission.

Many kiddos have ran out of these times and I have had many students borrowing supplies the last few weeks, which I am happy to do. I also know how they like to be "owners" of these times and they don't always like having to borrow. Thanks in advance.

Parents are welcome to come to the school at 2:15 for the assembly, with the part following at 3:00 in the cafeteria. The 5th grade classes are going to be celebrating together!
