Leaders in Action
Calling all leaders!! I will be visiting classes next week to recruit student leaders who are interested in being a positive voice on our campus and in our community. Students will be able to submit applications that will reflect their desire to grow as a leader and their willingness to dedicate time and energy to this new organization on the LVIS campus. Applications will be available next week and are due Wednesday, November 30. I am excited to see what our students can accomplish this year!
Need a Coat?
Don’t Miss Our Community Coat Distribution Day ~~ Tomorrow!!
If you, your child, or someone you know needs a warm coat for the winter, please come to our Community Coat Distribution Day on Saturday, November 12th from 10:00am – 2:00pm. Coats will be distributed at the Lago Vista ISD Clothing Closet, located in Portable 6 behind Lago Vista Intermediate School.
Randy Mathisen, Director of Instructional Technology, has been busy on our campus! He is currently leading discussions in 5th grade classes on digital citizenship, online safety, and cyberbullying. He will soon be talking to 4th graders about what it means to be safe online and what is appropriate for their age group.
Here is a link to our district IPAD Parent Guide that includes tips for raising a responsible digital citizen. Let’s start now to better prepare our intermediate students for the challenges ahead.
