Weekly Update
Leading Lifelong Learners
Principal's Notes for the week of 4/29-5/3
Teachers,
We are getting down to the wire if you have students that have Fs in your classrooms please be sure to contact those parents via email or phone. We don't want any surprises (not that they don't have Lumen to check).
May 15th will be the seniors last day of school. It will be a half day! OPAA will be providing a senior breakfast starting at 7:00 a.m. At 8:15 the seniors will be doing the graduation walk-through practice and then at 9:00 the seniors will go over to the elementary for the graduation march that we do each year.
Please start getting your awards to Sam and be sure to place their names in the appropriate place on the Google Document sent out. The award certificates are in Sam's office. You need them in by May 20th. You need to contact the parents of the students you are giving awards to by May 14th.
Finally, We all expecting a SENIOR PRANK in the near future. The kiddos did an awesome one last year, I expect nothing less this year. Please be sure that your desk and computers do not have anything on them confidential laying around or on them.
Change is time! Teachers, next year teachers will work from 7:30-3:30 p.m. In the past it has been from 7:45-3:30, but this presents a problem when teachers are taking off half days and quarter days they truly aren't meeting the appropriate requirements for these days. In order to make the minutes work appropriately, the district will be moving to the new times for the 2019-2020 school. In the end, this makes total sense from supervision and tutoring aspect as well especially since we allow students in the building at 7:30 a.m. This will help with supervision and tutoring of students when necessary. If you have any questions please let me know!
The incoming 7th graders will be here on Friday, May 10, 2019, from 10:00-12:00. They will eat lunch, tour the building (classrooms), and hear from our MS STUCO students. Please welcome them in your classroom and the building!
