Rolling Hills Primary School
November 2022

Happy November!

Dear Rolling Hills Parents and Guardians:
First of all, thank you very much for your assistance and cooperation as we move towards the close of the first marking period of the 2022-2023 school year. The faculty and staff of this fine school are sincerely appreciative of your willingness to work together in order to provide all of our students with a quality educational experience for your children.
We would like to thank all of our parents/guardians who took time out of their busy schedules to attend our recent Parent/Guardian-Teacher Conferences. Please remember that keeping the lines of communication open is important to student success.
Thanks, too, for helping your children prepare for our special events during our Week of Respect and Red Ribbon Week. In addition, participation in our annual Take the SCARE Out of Hunger will help our local food pantries fill their shelves before the holiday season.
As we move forward, we could use assistance with the following matters:
- Please be sure that your contact information--especially all of the phone numbers listed in Genesis to be used in an emergency--are kept up-to-date and accurate.
- If you are picking up your child from school, please make every effort to wait until all "pick-ups" are called for dismissal at 3:30 p.m. Numerous classes continue to be interrupted on a daily basis as we stop everyone's learning for early pick-ups! Please avoid all early pick-ups unless there is an emergency. Thank you very much for your assistance and understanding!
- Most of our students have mastered their full (first and last) names and their Student ID numbers now. Thank you for your help with this important matter!
- As the days--especially the mornings--turn a bit colder, please remember to label your child's clothing before they wear them to school. This will help keep our "lost and found" items to a minimum.
- A "LOST AND FOUND" table is located outside the nurse's office. If your child is missing any items, please have them stop by the table sometime during the day to retrieve their lost belongings. Please see if you recognize any of your children's items in our "Lost...and Lost?" photos below!
We hope you enjoyed our first Wellness Weekend for 2022-2023. The next Wellness Weekends are scheduled for February 4th and 5th and April 1st and 2nd! Mark your calendars!
I wish you all the best as we continue working together for the good of our students.
Take care,
Pauline F. Anderson, Principal

Second Grade Pumpkin Book Reports...
All second grade language arts classes participated. They had an AM and PM parade to show off all the hard work to complete their Pumpkin Book Reports. For the reports, students had to select a fiction book to read. Then choose a character to complete a character analysis book report on (describing both internal and external traits). Lastly, they decorated a pumpkin to look like their character.
