September 10, 2021
Dear Parents and Guardians,
This was a great week as we welcomed so many students back from quarantine. Continue to encourage 8 to 10 hours of sleep, eating healthy, and lots of water to boost immune systems! Remember if your child is on quarantine, please have them Zoom for live instruction so they do not fall behind academically.
This Monday, September 13th, we will begin MAP testing for Reading and Math. Make-up testing will continue through the month of September. Today's Raider Time consisted of a lesson on goal setting. We discussed how goals should be SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, and timely) Students also learned how our teachers use MAP to differentiate instruction, encourage setting growth goals, and group students for instruction. Students will begin setting their own academic goals after MAP testing.
Lastly, football and volleyball season began Wednesday. It was awesome to see so many smiles and such school spirit! Come out and support our student-athletes when you can.
Have a wonderful weekend and we hope to see lots of parents participating in Monday's PTO meeting!

Pay Fees Online
Notes about eSchool Online Payments:
- There is a $4.00 dollar fee per transaction. This is to pay for the merchant fees that are charged to the district.
- Use this link: https://rockhillsc.csiepay.com/Main.aspx or https://rockhillsc.csiepay.com/
- For parents that have students at multiple schools, go to each school location on the eSchool home page to pay for each student separately. Click on “Payment Home” on the top of the page after each transaction.
The Payment Home button will take you to the page where you can see all the schools at once, and then click on the correct school that the next transaction is for.
- For parents that have multiple students at one school location, they will be able to pay for those students in one transaction. This will save them $4.00 for each transaction.
Put all the kids’ names in the student name box.
Then choose the quantity of that particular item or separate items if needed.

T-dap vaccine requirements
In accordance with South Carolina Code of Laws and State Regulation, a Tdap vaccine is now a requirement to attend 7th -12 grades. The Tdap vaccine is a booster that protects against three serious diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough). If your child has had this immunization, please disregard. Documentation that your child has received the Tdap vaccine will need to be provided to the school. If your child still needs to get the immunization, you must get an appointment with your pediatrician or seek out a clinic to arrange for the immunization. If your child has not had the vaccine by the start of 2021-2022 school year, he/she will have 30 days to get the vaccine. After the 30th day, if your child still has not had the vaccine your child will not be permitted to attend school until the school receives documentation that the vaccine has be given.
