What counts as attendance?
Utah State Attendance Law states children in Utah must attend school daily. At UTVA, this means logging into the Online School every day with student username and password to show you are walking through the front doors of the school building. Attending class connects and completing assignments show you are actively engaged in school.
Be sure to log attendance for ALL offline, online, and class connects. When your student is working offline on assignments or lessons, log that time in the course affiliated with the offline work. Class Connect time is logged by the Learning Coach. Extracurricular activities can be log as attendance time AFTER daily school work has been completed. Waiting for your materials and computer? Student must attend school daily. See HERE for extracurricular activity ideas and how to log attendance.
