The white dwarf
By Brett labarge
The topic I have picked for this research report is the white dwarf. Some of the stuff I will be talking about is what colors they are or the size.
The size of the white dwarf is about the same size as the earth so around 18 tons. The white dwarf is 60 percent dense as a medium sized star. It is just like the sun the same mass.
A fun fact is it is not actually white. The colors depend on how hot it is. If it is really ho then it is violet the coolest is a deep red.
The amount of light it gives off is one one thousandth of the sun.
Stars turn into a white dwarf when it has ran out of their nuclear fuel just like the sun. Another fact is t white dwarf is the final stage of a star.
