Boone Renaming Process Update
We are excited to announce that we have the results from our final round of voting! And the top choice is….MOSAIC! We thank 3rd grade room 207 with Ms. Jean and Ms. Rodriguez for all your creative planning, preparing and sharing of your ideas that led the majority of voters to select Mosaic as their top choice.
We again want to send a huge thank you and congratulations to all of our students and staff who worked so hard to advocate for their nomination throughout this process. There were so many amazing choices, and we can all be proud of our process throughout this school year that has brought us to this point.
Everyone is invited to attend our upcoming LSC meeting on 6/7/22 where the LSC will determine their top choices for nominations that will be sent to the CPS Board of Education as part of the next steps in the process.

STUDENT SAFETY INFORMATION FOR OLYMPIC FIELD DAYS
The Olympic Field Day for the Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st, 6th, 7th, and 8th grade will be on June 7th and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade will have their Olympic Field Day on June 8th. Here are some basic safety concerns that need to be addressed for the Olympic Field Day event when being in the sun and heat.
Clothing: Be dressed for weather and activity. Wear shorts, T-shirt, and gym shoes that allows for safe participation. Wearing proper footwear is important for certain events to eliminate potential injuries.
Sun: Sunscreen with sun protective factor (SPF) higher than 30 to protect the students from sunburn and other health concerns related to UV light.
Water: Students should bring a LARGE water bottle with water (no sugary drink such as soda, gatorade, or juice.) As the participants will lose lots of water while standing under the sun and participating in the events. PLEASE PUT NAME ON BOTTLE!
Good Luck and we look forward to seeing students out there participating in the Olympic Field Day with their best efforts. Thank you!
¡Gracias!
