President's Message
We've got SPIRIT, yes we do!
The RES and Redding Spirit is on display this week with PJs, crazy hair and our spooky Halloween spirit this Friday! Our School Store has been busy filling orders of RES and Redding x 203 gear. The online school store (resctpta.membershiptoolkit.com/spiritwear2020) is open all year long and perfect for fun, one of a kind gifts!
What makes Redding so special is that we don't just show our spirit through shirts or team colors. RES families have been showing it all year long. From the support of our staff at the Back to School Parking Lot Chalk Party to the record breaking PTA Membership drive to the overwhelming success of Ladies/ Guys Night Outs and Pie Sales, your spirit for our school community has been strong and unwavering.
As we move into the holiday season, we want you to know that your RES PTA is bringing the spirit to you! Our annual Thanksgiving drive helps put food on the table for Redding families through our Redding Food Pantry. The RES PTA also sponsors the Burritt Fund which supports RES families in need through anonymous aid coordinated by our front office administration. A quick plug, as well, for the JRMS PTA, who is leading a coat donation drive as we head into the Winter season.
The RES PTA is proud to display our spirit, this week and every week, for our wonderful school, fabulous families and special community!
-Meredith and Angela
The RES PTA was wants to wish everyone celebrating this weekend a Feliz Día de los Muertos!

A huge thank you to Illona Bencze Zimmer and Kathy Weiss for co-leading the program. The RES PTA underwrites 100% of the costs of the production and distribution.
Work will continue in sessions tentatively scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays in November.

RES has heART!
Did you know every student at RES received an individual art kit? The RES PTA was one of only two organizations in Connecticut to be awarded a $5,000 grant from the National PTA and TikTok to support social and emotional learning. Our ART KITS are in motion as the children will begin a community mural project using small individual 4"x4" tiles to create heARTs! A huge thank you to Mimi Weiss for leading the project with all K-4 students. We can't wait to see it!
