Principal's Perspective

Hello KCE Families,

On behalf of the KCE TEAM we would like to wish you and yours a wonderful, safe and prosperous Holiday Season. We are thankful and extremely appreciative for the opportunity to partner with you in your scholar's educational journey through this academic year. Your partnership is critical for the success of everyone connected to our institution. Without supportive parents, our mission could not be achieved. We are also very grateful for our incredibly dedicated staff. Our teachers and staff are committed to providing each scholar with an exemplary education.

As we return from Thanksgiving break, we will welcome families to meet with teachers to discuss each scholars growth and areas to focus on in the coming months. Additionally, we will soon begin administering the NWEA assessment to identify specific areas of strength as well as what each scholar still needs support with. We are looking forward seeing everyone on November 30 for your scheduled parent teacher conference. Please check with your child's teacher to schedule a time to meet.

Yours in Education,

Howard Lipkin

Academic Achievement

Report cards will be released to families during parent teacher conferences on November 30 from 4:00-7:00pm. If you haven't signed up with your child(ren) teachers, look for a sign up communication to come home or be posted on Class Dojo.

Scholars are currently being assessed in reading level which will also be shared at conferences along with providing families with tools and tips on how you can help your children at home.

Project Based Learning Corner

Several classes have been working on projects about the woods on campus during PBL. They have observed the changes in the leaves, searched for animal habitats and investigated birds that inhabit our little forest. We are very grateful for this hands on science experience! Scholars will continue to visit the woods over the next several weeks. Please dress your child for the weather so they can explore comfortably.

Holidays Around the World

Thursday, Dec. 9th, 5:30-7pm

Please join us for our Family Night and enjoy activities that celebrate cultures around the world!
