Good Luck to the Lady Patriot Tennis Team at UP Finals Next Week!!

Maple is going on year #3 at Westwood High School! Maple accompanies Mrs. Halamka in the counseling office a couple of times per week. She loves providing comfort and, quite often, comedic relief during the school day. A dog's calm presence and loving, forgiving demeanor has been proven to lower heart rate, stress levels, and feelings of anxiety.

Governor's High School Cyber Challenge

Even a Pandemic can't stop our students from doing what they do best! Westwood had 6 teams competing in this year's Governor's High School Cyber Challenge. Teams from all over Michigan compete for the top 10 spots to then take part in a Capture the Flag competition in Finals.

More information about the challenge can be found at https://www.merit.edu/community/events/cyberchallenge/

Snow Days!

As you know, winter is just around the corner which means snow days! This year will be different than previous years as students and teachers will be expected to learning virtually on snow days rather than having the day off. However, on the first snow day, students will have the day off and we will implement our plan beginning on the second snow day of the year. We are working on a plan for teaching and learning during snow days and will share what that looks like soon.
