Defining volcano

A mountain or hill, typically conical, having a crater or vent through which lava rock framents, hot vaper, and gas are being or have been erupted from the Earth's Crust.

Negative effects

A volcano sends out toxic gases which dameges the environment for example hydrogen, sulphide, and chlorine. How it effects people when a volcano eruptes it sends out toxins that makes it hard to breath. It also can destroy houses, buildings, and block of roads.

Positive Effects

The volcanos ashes have nutrients that are good for the soil, and for plants to. Volcanos also make islands and add to the continents.


On May 18, 1980 in Washington Mt.ST Hellen erupted! The eruption lasted 9 hours, but Mt.ST Hellens and the surronding landscape were dramatically changed within moments.
