We believe guerilla artists and gardeners are motivated by their love for art and the community. It is their passion for art or gardening than motivates them to design beautiful and creative works. Similarly, they care about the well-being of the community enough to put work into making them a better place. Guerilla artists and gardeners use both these motivations and by combining them, they create an enjoyable, artistic, and eye-catching community.

The purpose of these artists and gardeners are to make a more creative and beautiful community. These artists and gardeners implement their skills and use them to transform a boring and plain area into an attractive and interesting one for everyone. Guerilla artists and gardeners also promote productive things, like creativity and freedom. In the image of trees transformed into carrots, the artist is promoting the local farmer’s market and eating healthy, locally grown fruits and vegetables. In the image of the creative bus stop, they are promoting public transportation, which is better for the environment than driving a car. These artists and gardeners use their passion to promote positive things to their community.

We support the actions of guerilla artist and gardeners. We chose to support these artists and gardeners because the majority do not harm anyone; most actually have a positive effect on the community. While their actions may be illegal, they have a positive effect on the community because they promote creativity, beauty, cleanliness, freedom, and self-expression. These artists can take an otherwise normal street or parking lot, filled with litter and broken pavement, and turn them into artistic masterpieces. They make ordinary places more beautiful, which encourages the community to come out and experience them.
