End of the Year Classroom Relocations
In an effort to accommodate changes for the Fall, many teachers need to relocate their classrooms. Teachers needing to relocate have been contacted. While that can be a daunting task, please remember that students are still in the current classrooms and instruction goes until the end of June. Therefore, please be mindful of the students when you plan and execute your pack up. This is still the students home away from home and we do not want them to feel like school is over just yet.
Instruction Continues until the End
Not to be redundant, but we must continue to ensure valuable instruction is occurring throughout the month of June. These are great opportunities to embed those activities/subjects perhaps you don't have time to do throughout the year and always enjoyed. Or, perhaps, introduce topics that may be of interest to the class. Or, even sharpen skills that may need some fine-tuning. Also, please ensure that when you utilize movies in the classroom they are related to the curriculum in some way.
Report Cards
It is imperative that when assessing students in the third trimester accurate reporting of their ability is shared. If students have not mastered the particular skill, a 2 and/or 1 must be conveyed. This only helps students in the long run as we try to close in gaps.

FYI: This was sent to the parents regarding Class Lists
As the end of the year approaches, please keep in mind that the formulation of class lists is a well-thought out and thorough process. There are an enormous amount of factors that are considered when creating class assignments before the beginning of the school year. There needs to be a semi-equal distribution of students by gender, achievement levels, and behavioral concerns (and balancing all three of these factors simultaneously is no small feat.) Special considerations must then be made for the placement of English language learners and students with special needs. Often student-teacher personality conflicts are considered, as well as interpersonal conflicts between students who need to be separated from their peers. We always have the students best interest at heart and ensure that students are placed for success. Thank you for your understanding,
