Renee Heywood, Senior, Culinary Arts, Makes Aunt's Wedding Cake: A Huge Hit Says Her Mom!
The bride and groom participated in a blind taste test and Renee's cake won! Renee and her parents were nervous and ecstatic.
Renee's mom told me that Mr. Green allowed Renee to bake the cakes and prepare other items after school and that he stayed late to make sure Renee did things properly. She also told me that Assistant Superintendent of Business and Personnel, Mr. Steven Moore connected with the venue to provide the necessary documentation so that Renee could honor the couple's request. Renee told me that her parents helped and supported her the entire way. The newlyweds were proud of Renee and happy with their beautiful, delicious wedding cake.
