Highway to High School! Important information for parents of 8th graders!
Dear Dolphin Families of 8th Grade Students,
The process of registering 8th graders for their high school classes at Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD) begins in December 2019. Please remember that SUHSD is a separate school district and all questions regarding registration and course placement should be addressed directly to them. By now, you should have received some initial general communications from SUHSD. If not, please contact them to update your address/email/text information.
**Note that SUHSD requires parents to complete an in-person address verification process at the SUHSD District Office. It is recommended that you do this before the end of 2019.

SUHSD sends the assessment results to the feeder schools in February and publishes the scores on the Student Information Form (course registration).

Message from the principal...
Dear Dolphin Families,
By now your children are done with their last day of school before Thanksgiving break! I am looking forward to a relaxing break and sharing meals and time with loved ones. I hope every single one of you are able to do the same. From the bottom of my heart, I want you all to know how grateful I am to be able to serve this community every single day. Additionally, I couldn't have asked for a more dedicated and smart group of staff members. I want the best for our kids and I will not accept less for any reason- and I can say that we have the very best of everything here in our school- staff, families, and students!
I want to thank the parents and family members for attending the parent/teacher conferences this week and next week. Parent teacher conferences are a way of collaborating with your child's teacher as a partnership with the school and home. We appreciate sharing a role in educating your child. The teachers depend on parents and families to help support us in making sure your child has the best education possible. We hope that you find the conferences to be meaningful and helpful in understanding the strengths and areas of desired academic growth of your children.
Thank you to the teachers for allowing me to lead and for partnering with me in your roles as educators. Thank you to the parents who trust me with your precious children. Thank you to our staff for allowing me to partner with you in the education of our students. Thank you to the students who show up everyday and allow us to teach you and for impressing and challenging us daily! Thank you to Tiffany, the Vice Principal for being a collaborative partner and for sharing equally in the day to day important work we do.
I am thankful for my own family and for their patience, love, and support as I have grown in my career over the years.
I'll miss your children next week.
Be Safe and Eat Lots of Food! :)
