Red Ribbon Week: October 24th -28th
Book Character Day: Monday, October 31st
Students can dress up as their favorite book characters and bring their books to school. The following are some guidelines for costumes:
- Do's: Make sure the costume is connected to a book. Bring your book with you on 10/31. Make sure the costume is safe for your child to wear. Leave all props at home.
- Don'ts: No costume masks. No heels, sandals, or slippers. No scary costumes. No weapons. No inappropriate adult-like attire

The Great American Shakeout
The shakeout has partnered with The Hero In You Foundation, which has developed a variety of fun and informative safety videos, booklets, and other materials for K-3 grade students, about earthquake, fire, and other safety topics. Please take a few minutes this week to review the video below and the handbook for earthquake safety.
