Summer hours announced
Penn High School’s main office will be open during the summer on Monday-Friday, from 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. June 11 - Aug. 10.
The main office telephone number is 574-258-9500.
The Penn High School Counseling Center will also be open from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday-Friday, June 11-Aug. 10. Enrollment is by appointment only. Call 574-254-2851 to schedule an appointment.
The Counseling Center will be closed July 2-8.
The Bookstore is open from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday-Friday. The Bookstore telephone number is 574-968-9622.
Penn High School's Athletic Office is open from 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Monday-Friday. The Athletic Office telephone number is 574-258-9537.
The Summer School Office at Penn High School (located at Door A) is open from 7 a.m. – 3:30 a.m. on Monday-Friday. The Summer School Office telephone number is 574-254-2828.
Session I of Summer School is June 11-29, and Session II is July 9-27. The student day is from 8:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.
All of the Penn High School offices will be closed on July 4 for the Independence Day Holiday.

The IHSAA moratorium week (no off-season practices or workouts) is July 2-July 8.

Graduates will be able to pick up diplomas starting on Monday, June 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The pick-up area will be outside of the Main Office inside Door A.

The District Communications Office will also be taking some photographs that they will share on the Penn website over the weekend. They will be high res and free to download. NOT ALL STUDENTS WILL BE PHOTOGRAPHED.

Student volunteers needed for Active Shooter Drill on July 2
Penn High School and the St. Joseph County Emergency response groups (Police, Fire, Hospitals, SJCEMA) have planned a community exercise around an Active Shooter event. This exercise is set for July 2, with registration from 8-9 a.m. The event is scheduled to conclude at 12:30 p.m. The IHSAA has approved athletes to participate in this emergency exercise.
More than 100 high school students are needed to participate in this Penn High School and community exercise involving police, fire and hospitals. Students must have an ID and have a waiver signed by the parent to participate. Click on the registration link below to volunteer for this important training opportunity. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED.

Summer weight room hours set for Penn Athletes
Starting Monday, June 11, the weight room will be open through Door G. Normal weight room standards apply for athletes at Penn who are training in the Penn Athletic Performance Program.
Athletes may choose two sessions per week from the following options:
- Monday or Wednesday: 8-9 a.m., 9-10 a.m., 10-11 a.m., 1-2 p.m.
- Tuesday or Thursday: 9-10 a.m. or 10-11 a.m.
Fitness Center Guidelines/News
- Cardio drumming will be starting on Wednesdays (6:30-7:30 p.m.). You must sign up at the ESC for cardio drumming. The classes are Wednesdays from 6:45-7:45 p.m. (June 13-20-27), three classes for $12. Sign up at the ESC with Jenny Forkner (jforkner@phm.k12.in.us).
Summer Hours start June 11th - 3-8:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 5:45-7:45 a.m. Monday-Friday. Walkers 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Pickleball is set for Wednesdays from 6:30-8:15 p.m. (all equipment provided).
Badmiton is offered on Tuesday and Wednesdays from 6:30-8:15 p.m. (all equipment provided).
Basketball is scheduled for Mondays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:15 p.m.
A Personal Trainer is available to help patrons develop fitness and nutrition plans.
- Students must have a current Penn ID to be admitted to the Fitness Center. Yellow sticker temporary IDs are not accepted. You can take a photo of your ID and keep it stored in your cell phone to use for admission.
- Students must check in at the table and get their hands stamped to be on the courts at any time.
- Walkers only 5:30-6:30 p.m. (adults only). All students must leave for that hour and no one is allowed on the courts at that time.
- Pickleball and Badminton are Tuesday and Wednesday (6:30-8:30).
- Open Ball is Monday and Thursdays (6:30-8:30) with a School ID.
- Saturday, walkers only 8-9 a.m.
- Open ball, pickleball, badminton 9-11:30 on Saturdays with an ID.
- Mornings: Monday-Friday, 5:45-7:45 a.m. with a current ID.
- Only P-H-M residents can use the Fitness Center and must show proof of residency.
- Boots are not allowed in the Fitness Center on the courts or in the Fitness area or where the weights are. Please remove boots and put your tennis shoes on. You can keep your boots in a locker.
- Please enter and exit at Door G.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Drinking fountains located in the Fitness Center.
- All bags must be put into the locker room, not on the floors of the Fitness Center.
- Bring a lock. The Fitness Center is not responsible for theft.

Corporations for Education Golf Outing set for Aug. 13, 2018
Save the Date - Monday, Aug. 13, 2018, at Morris Park Country Club. Lunch is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. There will be a 1 p.m. Shotgun start.
Proceeds support Corporations for Education (a division of the Penn-Harris-Madison Education Foundation).
Cost of a Foursome is $720 until Friday, June 1, and $800 after June 1.
