Welcome Back Trail Blazers!
A Message From Our PTSA President
Welcome back to our returning families and welcome to all our new Trail Blazers! This is a time of new beginnings at Lebanon Trail High School so we welcome new principal, Jake Duce, and all our new teachers and staff. We are pleased you are a part of Blazer Nation!
Lebanon Trail is truly a special place. Not only is it a beautiful facility with lots of school spirit, but it is a supportive, challenging and nurturing environment for our children to learn, mature and succeed!
This is my second year as PTSA President and am elated to say we have an active and engaged Board and we had a tremendous inaugural year. To highlight a few accomplishments from last year:
- The PTSA offered two programs last year in conjunction with our November and February General Meetings.
- Provided several meals for the staff (mostly from parent volunteers and donations) .
- Offered an onsite Yoga Class as part of our Healthy Lifestyles efforts.
- Invited Dads to come “welcome” the students to school on the first day…and I’m thrilled our dads came again this year!
- Sent the PTSA President to PTA LAUNCH training in Houston this summer, and
- Earned eight Membership awards --with the jewel in the crown being the Golden Apple award for 100% Teacher participation!
We have even more exciting things planned for this year. This Saturday, August 26, 2017, the PTSA will host the school’s first Trail Blazer Day! This is a school-wide/community event show-casing our school, students, teachers, parents and the community (Trail Blazer Day). I hope you will come out and join in the fun from 9 am- 12 noon. We encourage you to bring canned goods and personal care items to support Frisco Family Services.
The PTSA is always happy to provide quality programs for our parents and students. I am beyond pleased to share that 2014 U.S. bobsled Olympian Johnny Quinn will speak to the students on October 4th. His indomitable and unrelenting spirit is nothing short of inspiring and should be a treat for the student body and staff.
It is the PTSA’s goal to keep families involved and informed on what is happening within our school and how we are advocating for all children to fulfill their potential. We need you to help us help you!
The PTSA has a newly redesigned webpage at where you can get important information and updates about PTSA events and volunteer to serve when you’re available. Please like us on Facebook and don’t forget to “Like” us on Twitter.
Also, this is the first installment of our Online Newsletter that we will publish four times a year.
I’d like to personally invite everyone, parents and students alike, to join our PTSA. Envelopes are available in the school office or you can join at http://www.joinpta.org or our PTSA website . Wouldn’t it be great to be a Platinum school with 100% parent, teacher and student membership!

A Letter from our 10th Grade Student Liaison
My name is Vasundara Srivatsan and I am the Sophomore Student Liaison for Lebanon Trail PTSA. This will be my second year working on the PTSA Board and I am very excited to get started this year.
First of all, I would like to welcome the incoming freshmen! I hope you all had a great summer and are ready for a fresh start. You guys are finally in high school!! This means new responsibilities, ideas and the first steps towards college and real life. I know that some of you may be nervous but I can assure you that everything will be alright. All of the 9th grade teachers are amazing and will make sure that you all do great. Our school has a lot of school spirit and everyone here will make you feel welcome. I would love to hear your ideas/suggestions/concerns and convey them to the PTSA Board to possibly implement them. Finally, but most importantly I would encourage fellow classmates and freshmen to join the PTSA. The more voices that we have, the more we can be heard! Please contact me @ptsa.studentliaison.lths@gmail.com if you have any ideas to make LTHS even better.
