A Principal's Gratitude
In a season of high emotion, our families continue to bring a sense of calm. We are ALL doing our very best. That goes for students, families, school staff . . . ALL. Your words of kindness and support lift us all up as we continue to find our way through to do the work we love with your children. We recognize how fortunate we are to be part of this amazing community learners. This year especially, I want to express my gratitude for your grace and support, but most importantly for sharing your children with us each and every day.

Important Comet Notes
Our readership is down since we moved this publication from Friday to Sunday. In effort to ensure parents are taking the time to read and stay up to date, we will begin posting the newsletter on Monday morning to help kick-off the week! We will include two weeks of schedule templates to help make this transition easier for those of you that use the template to prepare your Comet for the week ahead.
As always, feel free to send your suggestions for improvement to me at anmcandrews@rochesterschools.org.
We would like to encourage you to check Google Classroom and Skyward. This is a standard way to view information on your child's academic progress. If you are not currently receiving Google Classroom Parent Summaries, please reach out to any of your child's teachers to be added. The Parent Summary provides information about missing or assigned work.

Free Consultation
Rochester Public Schools recognizes that we are all experiencing increased stress and worry during this time. In response, RPS is now providing free virtual consultations to help address worries you might have about your child’s mental wellness. Visit https://rochestermnschedule.as.me/ to schedule a 45 minute appointment with a trained mental health provider to discuss your concerns. These consultations can help you clarify what help your child might need and think about next steps. The mental health provider you meet with can connect you with resources for help. What is discussed during the consultation is confidential.
