Community Partners' Announcements
We were so excited to be able to welcome our first few Watch DOGS in to Aurora Frontier this past week!
Thank you to all Frontier staff for your support of this amazing program! The feedback we have gotten this week from our dads has been wonderful! They have really enjoyed the interaction with all of our students and staff and feel that the experience has allowed them a glimpse into the school day at their student's school as well as gain a better understanding of Aurora Frontier P-8.
Our goal for our Watch DOGS is to help with a group or any other activity that gives them direct interaction with students. We also hope that this program affords you more time to have direct contact with students. So if you have a Watch DOG in your room, please engage them and keep them busy.
If an appointment does not work for your class, please decline the appointment so we can schedule him elsewhere. If the appointment is not declined you can expect the Watch DOG to come to your classroom.
Thank you so much for all you do to make Aurora Frontier a wonderful place to learn! Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
Have a great week! -Brandi & Shelly

Practice PARCC Testing Link- After several tries etc to get the Practice PARCC Test link to work, Justin Allen from the district's IT department was able to get it work. The link ONLY works through the latest version of Firefox. This means that the link will not work on the Chromebooks. The Laptops in the Library have Firefox and will be updated by the end of the day on Monday. If you want to use these computers for the Practice PARCC test please see me, and we'll work on a schedule for this to happen. Justin will continue to work on this to see if there can be a chromebook possibility.
Testing and Chromebooks-Please check the COW calendars for Chromebook availability. I am updating the calendars with testing dates. If possible, there can be carts available for use during testing. Also, please be considerate with placing the chrome books back in the carts after a testing session. If at all possible, place chromebooks back in the correct cart and plug them in so that they can be charging for the next class. During PARCC testing, the chromebooks will be needed all day long so charging will be necessary.
New Grey Samsung Chromebooks-these chromebooks have a power charger that will click when it is plugged in correctly for charging. If you can, please double check the cords after your students have plugged them in so that the adapter is inserted fully to charge the chromebook.
