Sandalwood Elementary Newsletter
April 2022
From the Principal's Desk
It’s hard to believe we are in the 4th quarter. As we finish out the school year, we will continue to focus on learning and safety. It’s important that students be reminded of using social media appropriately. Please check in with your child to see which sites they visit and the communication they have with others on social media sites and through text messages. We have many great activities coming during 4th quarter including an in-person 5th grade farewell assembly. Information about this will be sent home the last week of April.
Just a few reminders to help us keep our school safe:
*We cannot have early dismissals after 3:10pm.
*Dogs are not permitted on school grounds.
*If you drive your child to school, please use the parking lot to pull in and someone will open the car door to let them out.
*Please remind older siblings who pick up Sandalwood students that they are not permitted to bring friends with them.
Thank you for your support!

April 2022 Schoolwide Earth Day Project!
In celebration of Earth Day, we’re making Junkbots! Please help your child gather items around the house that could be used to make a robot. Spring Break would be a great time to work together as a family to build your Junkbot! It’s amazing what we can make and do with recycled items!
Students will need to bring their Junkbots to school on Earth Day, Friday, April 22nd! They will be displayed in the cafeteria for all to enjoy!
Thanks So Much,
Mrs. Ament
