Principal's Corner
Kirk families,
As we head into testing season, I want to remind everyone to get a good night of sleep each night before testing. Also, all students at Kirk receive a free breakfast, so feel free to grab a yummy meal at school the morning of your test, Good luck to all my mighty tigers!
Katie Ford
Principal
PBIS
Our students continue to show how to follow the Kirk P.B.I.S Matrices every single day. For the Month of April, our students are learning what it means to have perseverance. Encourage your Tiger to continue to have perseverance in all they do at Kirk, especially in all their end of year assessments.
BOTB
For the month of April, we are learning about perseverance. Perseverance is the act of continuing to do something even though it is difficult. Look over the picture below and practice saying what is suggested when things get rough.

Counselor Corner
Setting and accomplishing goals is an important life skill that every child can work on, from our youngest students to our oldest. When your student is thinking about setting goals, remind them they are not limited to just academic items. Goals can also include behavior, friendship, health, home, family, etc. This list is endless! Have your child answer questions such as these to discover what their goals might be: What do you want to learn about by your next birthday? If you could change something about school, what would it be? If you could travel forward in a time machine to one year in the future, what would your life look like? Once their goals are set, remind your child to take small steps in accomplishing their objective. Big changes don’t happen overnight!
