Season details:



  • The season begins the week of March 13th
  • The 5k is scheduled for Sunday May 19th at Lake St. Clair Metropark and all information is available at www.gotrdetroit.org/gotr-5k
  • Cost of the program is $136, Financial assistance is always available at the Y for individual families


Girls on the Run Coach dates:


  • Commitment is 2 days a week, preferably after school for 1.5 hours
  • All training and materials are provided by the YMCA

Youth Making a Difference

Youth Making a Difference is a program that encourages and recognizes volunteer efforts by K-12 students. Some students visit senior citizens, help collect money for the Livonia Goodfellows, or rake leaves at their schools. Other activities include school or community projects. Livonia PTSA Council recognizes the efforts of these students at the annual Youth Making a Difference celebration.
