Student Drop-off and Pick-up Expectations
In the past several days I have had a number of parents contact me expressing
concerns about how parents are dropping off and picking up their students at Park
Place. To address this concern I have outlined below some expectations that I believe
will increase student safety and make the entire process smoother for everyone.
- Please pull up as far as possible when dropping off or picking up students.
- Students should only be dropped off on the sidewalk next to the school.
- Please pay attention. We have had a few near misses where students were walking through our parking lot and they weren’t seen by drivers.
- No parking should occur in the student drop-off and pick-up zone.
- When dropping off or picking up, please have your student prepared to exit the car so that you are able to move out of the drop-off and pick-up zone as quickly as possible.
- Please remember we have a number of people walking in our parking lot before and after school. To ensure the safety of everyone please keep you speed down and your level of frustration even lower.
Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation!

IMPORTANT NEWS FOR 8TH GRADE FAMILIES!
REMINDERS
- Only a parent or guardian is allowed to pick up your child from school. Even if that person is listed as an emergency contact. If you need someone to pick up your child from school you will need to submit a signed note or call us for permission.
- If there is an emergency at school or your child is in the health room we will reach out to an emergency contact for pick up if you are not available.
- We do our best to get your child to you as soon as possible. However, this in an interruption of class time and after 2:00 pm we may not be able to get to your request.
- If your child is sick they need to go to the health room. Please do not allow your child to call you directly for pick up. We need to be sure that all health issues are reported and documented to our health room.
- The process for home work requests are in the student handbook. We will not gather homework unless the student has had at least 3 consecutive days missed from school. Teachers do require a 24 hour notice before providing homework. As always, if you have a specific concern with a teacher, you may contact that teacher directly.
