Cardiovascular System
Amber Fisher
Main Purpose of the System
The major function of the cardiovascular system is the transportation of oxygen and removing carbon dioxide to and from body organs respectively. The major organ of the cardiovascular system is the heart and the blood vessels
How the System Works
The blood circulatory system (cardiovascular system) delivers nutrients and oxygen to all cells in the body. It consists of the heart and the blood vessels running through the entire body. The arteries carry blood away from the heart; the veins carry it back to the heart
Compare and Contrast with the Respiratory System
The cardiovascular system is the system that maintains the heart and blood flow. The respiratory system is the system that puts oxygen in to the blood and it makes sure we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide. They are both important to the body because we need both of them to survive.
