Penny for Patients Fundraiser - February 23 - March 11

Pennies for Patients

Student Council is asking you and your students to participate in a fundraiser called "Pennies for Patients". Each house will elect a teacher to be the money collector, they will be given a collection box and student council will send a representative to collect the money on Thursdays. This is a competition per grade level that will run from February 23 to March 11. If you have any questions please contact Beth Albrecht at #54121 or in room B121. Thank you for your support!!

Moonlight Bowling

Join in the fun at the 10th Annual Moonlight Bowling Event. This event will take place on Saturday February 27th at McPete’s Sports Bar & Lanes in beautiful downtown Big Lake MN. You do not need to be a skilled bowler to participate in this activity. You will have a chance to win some $.

Please email Al Chuba if you are interested in taking part in this exciting event. If you already have a group in mind let him know that too. Just a reminder, Moonlight Bowling is about having a good time and the chance to win some $$. It has nothing to do with individual or team scores!!

Please RSVP to Al Chuba by Wednesday, February 24 and he will then send final information to those that signed up. If you have any questions about the bowling festivities please let him know.

Save the Date

Maple Grove Middle School will be presenting the play "The Fantastic Mr. Fox" on March 10, 11, and 12. Performances will be held in the Maple Grove auditorium each night at 7 PM with an additional performance on March 12 at 3 PM.

Your Blood is Needed

The wellness committee is again sponsoring an American Red Cross blood drive at Maple Grove Middle School on mark reporting day, Friday, March 11th from 9 am to 3 PM. It is estimated that 1 in 3 people will need blood in their lifetime and 1 pint of blood can save up to 3 lives. The weather has affected many donation sites throughout the country so please consider giving blood, the gift of life. If you would like more information on donation requirements, or if you would like to sign up to give blood, please visit

www.redcrossblood.org. Thank you!
