Media Literacy
This is particularly relevant right now in our upper grades, with may relatives and friends protesting in North Dakota and seeing the news footage skewed in favor of the Oil Companies, for example a middle aged woman was reported to have had a gun according to the news, when in fact she had a prayer stick. We need our kids to know how to filter through information and think critically.
