College and Career Happenings

November 2015

Junior sessions

All juniors participated in sessions with counselors on Monday, November 16 during English classes. The goals of the session are for students to be able to:

  • determine what matters most for college and career planning
  • use Family Connection and the DGN website to access information and dates students will need throughout the school year
  • use Family Connection to research careers that fit specific interests
  • use Family Connection to complete a college search.

The presentation slides can be found here. The activity page can be found here. The Junior Timeline for College Planning can be found here. Testing information can be found here. We encourage you and your students to use these resources throughout the year to research students' post-secondary plans. Please contact the student's counselor with any questions about these resources or the session.
