To Parents/Guardians of all students in 7th Grade PE during the second half of the year:

Scoliosis screening is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, February 10th and 11th during PE class for all students taking PE the second half of the year. As per the State of Pennsylvania, all students will be screened. If you do NOT wish your child to be checked for scoliosis, please send a written note in with your child. Seventh grade students who are not screened at this time will be screened individually at a later date.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our school nurse, Mrs. Greenberg by email at mgreenbe@cbsd.org or by phone at 267-893-2840.

Vision Screening for All Lenape Students

Vision testing continues at Lenape and all students will be vision tested before the end of the school year. You will be notified by US Mail, if a referral is made for your child.

Student Drop-Off Information

New signs have been placed outside the Main Office and Gym Entrance asking parents to please drop off students at the Gym Entrance in the morning. Doing this will help alleviate the back up and morning traffic. Drivers are reminded to remain in a single car lane when dropping students off at the Gym Entrance. Also, all drivers must exit around the back of the school on to West Street. Please NO TURNS in the parking lot. DO NOT exit in the front of the school.

Program Planning

The Program Planning process for course selection for the 2014-15 has begun. Students will be attending grade level assemblies to learn detailed information about the process. They will meet with teachers and guidance counselors to review recommendations and course options. Current 9th and 7th grade students will be involved in this process during the month of January. For 8th grade, the process does not begin until early in February. All students will bring home verification sheets listing course requests so parents can review and discuss these choices with their child before anything is finalized.
