Field Day Thank You!

Thank you for everyone who was able to come out and support our students with Field Day! Thank you to PTA for selling concessions and for sponsoring the inflatables.

We had two fun Field Days!

HEB Reads!

Please put Saturday, April 30 on your calendar. HEB Reads will kick off on April 30. HEB Reads is a summer reading program supported by all three cities and the city libraries. It is for children and adults to challenge you to read this summer!

HEB Reads kick off will be at Pennington Field at 10:00. You will be able to sign up the program, enjoy free food, games and music! We hope that lots of our students and families will be a part of this community initiative!

Notes from the Nurse

  • If your child has borrowed pants, shorts, or a shirt from the nurse, please wash and return them as soon as possible.

  • Pre-K parents: Your children need more vaccines prior to Kindergarten. If your child has received the required immunizations, please send a copy to the nurse so they can be recorded in the computer. You WILL NOT be allowed to register for Kindergarten without those shots.

  • 6th grade parents: Your children also need more vaccines prior to 7th grade. If your child has received the required immunizations, please send a copy to the nurse so they can be recorded in the computer. If you want your child to participate in the immunization clinic on May 4th, please return your pink forms indicating as such. There is more paperwork that is required for your child to participate. You WILL NOT be allowed to register for Junior High without these shots.

Sixth grade parents are invited to attend an informational meeting on Monday, Aprill 11. All of our junior high schools will be hosting a meeting for parents at 6:30 PM on Monday, April 11. Parents will have a chance to hear about selecting classes for next year, registration and information about the different ways your child can be involved next year. Our 6th grade students met with the counselors from Harwood Junior High this week and they will be sharing the same information to parents at this meeting next week.

Please contact Mrs. Wolery-Blood for more information.
