Painless Fundraising Ideas while “Sheltered in Place”
Our school year in the physical building of Thornapple is done for 2019-2020 - however, we, the PTO are still exploring ways to support our school, teachers and students during this unprecedented time.
If you would like to help contribute, check out these "painless fundraising" opportunities that we have in place already. Or if you have other suggestions for how we can help – feel free to contact us at thornappleptoshare@gmail.com
Start collecting your paper and receipts!
How can paper help us earn money?
Especially right now, when the Kent County recycling program is shut down - start saving up your paper and fill our Paper Gator bin as soon as the shelter in place ends!
What can go in the paper gator bins?
- Newsprint
- Catalogs/Magazines
- Junk Mail
- Phone Books
- Office/School paper
- Hard and soft cover books
- Paperboard
(Grocery Item boxes) - Standard staples & paperclips are ok
- Shredded paper (preferred in CLEAR plastic bags)
How do receipts help us earn money?
Using the Box Tops app and the Shoparoo app, you can snap pictures of your grocery receipts and earn our school money!
