Message from the Principal

We have started the new year off great! Our students have done a wonderful job the first semester engaging with a new curriculum and demonstrating growth in all subjects. I look forward to what's to come. To stay up to date on all things happening at DES, please update your contact information (phone numbers, email).

Don't forget that all elementary schools have a new start time of 7:30 A.M. Classes start at 7:30 A.M. It is encouraged that students get to school in enough time to eat breakfast and prepare for learning. Doors/Gates are open at 7:00 A.M. The car rider line will close at 7:25 A.M. in order for staff to get in place for intervention. All students will participate in intervention either to accelerate or remediate based on their individual needs. Students should enter through the front office once the gate is closed. Students will be marked tardy beginning at 7:30 and must be escorted into the front office by an adult.

Ms. Parker thanks everyone for their prayers. She is home recovering well.
