Valleydale Church Preschool

Solomon and the Temple (based on 1 Kings 8)

Unit Verse: Be glad and sing songs to God. Psalm 9:2

Weekly Verse: People at church told others about Jesus. Acts 5:42

Life Point: People can praise God.

Solomon led the workmen to build the temple, a place to learn about God. After the temple was completed, Solomon led the people to thank and praise God. Praising God means to say or sing good things about Him. How does your family praise God at church?

Midweek meals make things so much more convenient for families trying to get from work to church and our desire is to help with that transition so that you can attend our midweek services.

All MidWeek meals can be ordered online. You can see the full month of menus at the beginning of each month. You may order meals for a single night or for the entire month. All orders must be in by Monday at noon prior to the meal. We will order a few extra meals, but the best way to make sure your family will have food is to order online no later than Monday at noon - remember, we can make "to-go" boxes if you need those! Meals will be served from 5-6:15 PM. The cost is $6 per adult and $4 per child with a $25 family maximum. You may order at this link:

Here at Noah’s Nook, we have children ages 6 weeks - K5. Our school year runs Sept – May and our hours are 9:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

During the day, our babies and 1-year-olds enjoy time doing crafts, hearing Bible stories, and taking stroller rides. Our 2 to 5-year-olds use the A-Beka curriculum which teaches Bible stories, letters, and numbers. They also go to Chapel, Music, Art, and Creative Movement each week. Our 4 and 5-year-olds learn 26 Bible verses (one for every letter of the alphabet). They recite these verses during their graduation program.

We want to take advantage of the time the children are in our care by sharing the love of Christ with them. Our focus is to help every family feel special and know they are loved by us, and more importantly, by God.

You are welcome to call our office, visit our website, or come for a tour where we can answer any questions you may have. We look forward to meeting you and your family and having your child with us here at Noah’s Nook. For more information, contact Amy Bagwell at or Shannon Cleveland at
