New information regarding the Class of 2020 Graduation procedures.

Commencement- Class of 2020

A letter from Mr. Seewer can be found here regarding our current plans for the Class of 2020 commencement ceremony.

Guidance from the Ohio Department of Education (4-23-20) on in-person graduation ceremonies can be found here.

Joint statement (4-28-20) from ODH and ODE on graduation ceremonies can be found here.

Just for clarification to all Senior parents. It is our full intention to hold a live ceremony if allowed by the Governor and if restrictions are lifted. Currently the max capacity of gatherings is set at 10, our buildings are closed, and there is a stay-at-home order. With these items in place it seems counter-intuitive to set an arbitrary date for a future live ceremony. As we get a better understanding of the "phases" for re-opening we will re-evaluate our current plans for a live commencement ceremony. Again, it is our intent that we would have both the virtual ceremony, already scheduled for May 23rd, and a live ceremony at a later date if allowed by law.

Student Locker/Cubby Pick-up and Book Return

Hello to all of our Falcon Families! Thank you so much for your grace and patience through this very interesting time! We are planning to allow for books to be returned and locker/cubby contents to be picked up next week. On May 18th all students with the last names from A-G will drop-off and pick-up items from 4-7 pm. On May 19th we will have students with the last names from H-N from 4-7 pm. On May 20th it will be O-Z from 4-7 pm. An alphabetized pick-up allows for families with multiple children, in multiple buildings, to make one trip up to the school. Helping us in this process will be teachers, bus drivers, aides, custodians and administrators. If you are returning items please put them in a garbage bag with your child's name on a piece of paper inside of the bag (picture example below). We will bring your locker/cubby items to you in a bag with your child's name on it. We ask that you to stay in your vehicle at all times. Feel free to share a smile and a wave as you pass by a staff member. This opportunity is for book returns and locker/cubby content pick-up only. Fees payments cannot be submitted at any point in the process. Please anticipate long lines and long waits as this is a new process for us. We will work diligently to move the lines along as quickly as possible. If there is confusion or a problem in locating your contents we will take your name and research the issue for you. There is a map to help with directions. If you have a HS or MS student you must enter from Harveysburg Rd. If you only have an ES student you may enter at the public library entrance and you will be merged into the line that travels behind the elementary school. If you have all three start from the Harveysburg Rd. entrance. Again, your grace and patience is appreciated as we work through this process. If the weather does not cooperate we will make a one-call stating the make-up date for pick-up. Stay Safe!

Talking to your kids about COVID-19

Know! To Reassure and Support Children During the COVID-19 Crisis

The World Health Organization has declared COVID-19, also known as coronavirus, a pandemic. Whether or not you believe the response to COVID-19 is proportionate, there is no doubt that children are being directly touched. Their schools are closing, their academic and extracurricular activities are being canceled, their spring break family trips are being postponed, and restrictions are being placed on mass gatherings. They’re also seeing and hearing the vast concerns of some and outright panic of others as local and national leaders attempt to control the spread of the virus.

Everyone is talking about coronavirus. The question is, are you talking about it with your children? Read more here

Impact on Spring Sports and End of Year Athletic Banquet

The OHSAA has made the decision to cancel spring sports for this year. As of today, all sports are in a “quiet period” until May 3, which means coaches and teams are not allowed to have any type of practice or workout, on campus or off. They anticipate extending this time frame once they have had time to meet and make decisions moving forward. Right now they are working on policies for fall sports.

This has been very difficult for our coaches and athletes. We are so disappointed that our athletes did not have the opportunity to compete in the sports that they have worked so hard to prepare for. This is especially true for our senior athletes. If you know any of these young adults, please acknowledge their hard work.

On May 14 at 7:00 PM we will be holding our Annual Athletic Banquet. This year the Athletic Banquet will need to be held virtually. We will post links on the Athletic Web Page. This is our chance to recognize our athletes for their accomplishments, even though we cannot meet in person. Log in and enjoy the evening while recognizing our athletes.

Student Breakfast/Lunch Distribution - Starting 3-24-20

"Change to Student Breakfast/Lunch Pick Up Times!!"

In order to lessen the exposure of our workers and lower the amount of times people have to leave their house, we are changing our student breakfast/lunch delivery times. We will now only deliver student breakfast/lunch meals that cover a whole week on Wednesdays. Breakfast and lunches will be available for all students 18 yrs of age or younger. We will need to keep track of student names during this process. The following areas will have pick up service at the following times:

Clarksville United Methodist Church-10:15 am until 10:45 am
Massie Township School/Town Hall- 10:15 am until 10:45 am
Middle School Entrance Drive-up Service- 11:30-12:30
Green Meadows- 1:00-1:15
Nauvoo Rd by the water tower- 1:30pm until 2:00pm
*times are approximate and dependent on workers available for preparation.

We will be guessing on how many meals that will need distributed the first time. We would ask for a little patience and grace as we work out the details. If there is a need present that we can help with please contact 937-303-8069 or email We will do our best to help!

Please check on each other through phone calls, text messages, Facetime, etc. Hearing a friendly voice in this time of isolation can go a long way!! Stay safe and as always.... GOOOO Falcons!!!

School Closure Extended- March 16 - May 1, 2020

Governor Mike DeWine announced all Ohio K-12 schools will be closed from March 16 through May 1st in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.

There is currently 1 confirmed (and recovered) case of COVID-19 in Clinton-Massie Local Schools, and 23,400 confirmed cases in Ohio. ,

Deep Cleaning Process

Our custodial staff has been diligent in their cleaning efforts throughout the cold and flu season. An aggressive, proactive approach to disinfecting classrooms and common spaces, including our athletic venues, has been taken since the onset of this situation. The district will be doing a room by room sanitizing of surfaces and disinfecting all school buses.

Continued Communication

The district is assessing and revising its plans on a daily basis as this situation rapidly changes.

Any modifications to dates/times of the closure or if other major announcements need to be made will be communicated via our mass notification, which includes phone calls, text messages, email, social media, and/or the district website.

The health, safety, and wellness of our students and staff are of the utmost importance to us. We understand the burden and inconvenience that this places on our students, staff, and families. Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding throughout this evolving situation. We will send further information to you as we receive it.
