District 109 Community Update
November 13, 2020
World Kindness Day
Today is World Kindness Day... and it's a day that we probably all need more of in 2020 than ever. As a community, country, and world, we can have different positions and beliefs, but being kind should be a universal quality for all. It's certainly something we aim to instill in all students in District 109. Make sure to watch the video at the bottom of this newsletter featuring a very kind act by Wilmot students!
The Next Steps For School
We understand that the metrics are not going in the right direction. Just today, suburban Cook County was placed under a stay at home order that is expected to last 30 days. Next week will continue to be a virtual learning week for most DPS 109 students. The administration will update the Board of Education on our current re-entry status and recommended next steps at the upcoming meeting on Monday, November 16.
