I hope you're all able to take a little time to do exactly that-refresh, recharge and enjoy a long weekend! You certainly deserve it!
SD Plans- Monday, October 23
I know I shared that data would be a major practice of ours on the 23rd. My major concern is that you'd have a lot of questions and we haven't spent as much time learning how to analyze and make decisions from this. Therefore, this month, we're going to go back to our meetings like last month where we do one grade level at a time. I want to make sure we're able to support our whole crew on this journey. I will be working on a schedule for data meetings beginning on the 24th. A schedule will be out shortly.
GOAL REMINDERS
As you write your goal, how will it affect students? Remember, our goal is to improve experiences for students. As you do this, one/many of the strategies will be what adults will do to make this happen.
How are you measuring your goal? If you have to create something, please make sure your timeline for when it's being created is reflected and what you need to gather happens in the near future. You'll want a baseline of data before you get too far into the year.
Who's Doing the Work
Just a reminder, read Chapters 1 & 2 to prepare for our SD Day on Oct. 23. We'll spend some time together discussing this. Make sure to fill out a SD time sheet for your reading time-each person will receive an hour of time.

FAIR DOESN'T MEAN EQUAL
We know the spectrum of learners entering our classrooms is great, how are you working to meet each one? This is one of the single toughest questions there is in teaching today. I'm excited we've started to take an active role in educating every child!
