Mrs. Piknick and Mrs. Krystofolski’s classes played “Know the News” against one another, to an even tie! The game is similar to Jeopardy, but all of the information and answers can be found in the provided reading passages, and of course, the students prove they know the answers by citing text evidence!
After listening to various versions of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, PK students played preposition bingo matching pictures and sentences with the words over, under, beside and in between.
PK students design houses and retell their own versions of the fairytale stories!

ForsythKids
Oral care is an essential part of overall health, especially in children, something the Forsyth Institute in Boston hoped to raise awareness of when they started ForsythKids in 2003. The organization began serving schools in Lynn, Boston and Cape Cod and by 2007 had treated over 40,000 students in those communities.
ForsythKids will be offering another dental clinic free of charge for all students at Harwich Elementary on Thursday, January 24, 2019, during school hours. Your child may participate in this program if they DO have a regular dentist or DO NOT have a regular dentist. All children are welcome to participate. If you are interested in participating, please return the attached consent form by Tuesday January 22, 2019 to your child’s homeroom teacher. If you have any questions, please contact Holly Tavano at (508) 430-7216 or contact ForsythKids directly at forsythkids@forsyth.org or call (617) 892-8323. It is our hope that you consider this beneficial program for your child.
