A Break and a Road Trip
Welcome back to school and can you even believe it is the year 2020!?!?!?!
I hope that everyone was able to have a good winter recess and spent some quality time with family and friends. Winter break is such a great "pause" during the school year...although it is a LONG pause and after 3 weeks the students are typically ready to come back to school (and the parents are typically also ready for them to go back to school).
My break was wonderful. My family was able to take a road trip over to my hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico. The trip was about 11 days (4 driving) and we had an absolute blast!! Honestly, the time we all spent in the car talking and playing (and listening to audiobooks) were the best part of the trip!
I hope that everyone was able to spend time with their loved ones and reconnect with those that we cannot see as often as we would like!
As we are just back from break I do not have many pictures of our students here at Shell Beach...so thought I would share pictures of my family from our trip, they are below.
We are so happy to have everyone back here at Shell Beach and look forward to a GREAT Spring!

On our way out to Albuquerque, we stopped for lunch in Flagstaff, AZ. The kids were so excited there was snow!
After spending a day or two in Albuquerque we went up to Santa Fe where we visited the Art Installation called "Meow Wolf". It is a immersive art exhibit for all ages...and it is just as crazy as its name would imply. FUN!
