Deputy Coduto Safety Tip
SSCS CAR LINE RULES :
1. Mornings: Arrive early – car line starts @ 7:30, the earlier you are the less traffic on the road. Line closes at 8. Impress upon your child the importance of being on time. If your goal is to arrive at 7:30 you will never be late.
2. Afternoons: Please know your pick-up time. Put your students schedule on the back of your car tags as a reminder. If you arrive early for 2nd dismissal please wait in the parking lot until 2:20 (1:20 Wed) before lining up. At 2:20 you can line up using both lanes.
3. Have kids ready to exit - Immediately after pulling into the parking lot have your kids take off seatbelts & start getting their belongings together.
4. Park and prepare if needed – In the morning if your child is still sleeping or you need to get in a few extra goodbye kisses & hugs, park in the lot and then proceed into the car line when you are ready.
5. Do not pass (morning only) – Exercise some patience as this causes more issues then the couple extra seconds you need to wait. In the afternoon leave some additional space between cars so you don’t have to back up to get out.
6. Large Groups – If you have 5 or more to drop off or pick up we are going to have you pull forward and use the first couple spots.
7. Turn Signals – Use them as you exit the car line so the drivers behind you don’t have to guess.
8. Enter/Exit Right side of car – Students should enter and exit from the right side of your vehicle. If there is an issue with your vehicle and they have to use the left side, your child should walk around the front of your car.
9. Remain in the car – Parents need to remain in the vehicle at all times. If you need assistance ask one of our staff or Safety Patrols. If you need to adjust car seats or move items in your car please park and take care of it before entering the line.
10. NO CELL PHONES – Use of cell phones in the car line is prohibited by Seminole County Public Schools. Also, it is illegal to drive with headphones on or in your ears. Remember your kids are watching.
* IF YOU FORGOT YOUR CAR TAG OR NEED TO PICK UP YOUR CHILD DURING CLUB PLEASE GO TO THE FRONT OFFICE.
SSCS FLL team needs your help to get to the World International Robotics Competition!
Our team "Insert Generic Team Name Here" has worked hard for the whole year and made it to the Razorback World Invitational Robotics Tournament - May 16-20, 2018, at the University of Arkansas campus. We are a fun team that does everything with gracious professionalism and believe that we can make a difference in the world by helping each other and our community. We have participated in several volunteering activities and reached out to community leaders for active participation in our society. Robotics is our passion. We are a small school and need your help to travel to Arkansas, cover our stay and win the Razorback tournament. We will work hard and make you all proud. We will make sure that we pass it forward and mentor other teams and needy students and schools and share what we have received. Thank you so much for your donation.
