Fix the Funding Formula: Legislative Priorities for Hamilton Southeastern Schools
As you know, funding for HSE schools is one of the lowest in the state. The Indiana House of Representatives has passed House Bill 1001 which would modify the funding formula and increase funding to our district by 5.6 percent. The additional funding would enable HSE to operate without a structural deficit, keep up with the cost of living, and address growing class sizes. As it moves to the state senate and continues to be evaluated, please take a moment to write a letter to our State Representative to help encourage them to support our kids and fix the school funding formula. Templates can be accessed via the HSE website or by following this link http://www.hse.k12.in.us/ADM/news/funding.aspx.
PTO Open Forum Meeting
Please join us for our next meeting on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:00 p.m. in the Art room.
3rd Grade Music Concerts
Dear Parents,
We have been working hard in music class over the past few months. We are very excited to put on a showcase of all the music we have been creating. In order to better highlight the individuality and creativity of the children, we will be having two 3rd grade concerts, one hour apart. Mr. Miller’s and Ms. Roth’s classes will have a showcase on March 26th at 6:00 PM in the CRES Gym. Ms. Head, Ms. Cook, and Ms. Nussbaum’s classes will have their showcase at 7:00 PM. Students report to their teachers’ classrooms ten minutes prior to the performance. Students should wear semi-formal attire such as they would for picture day. Any shoes are fine as long as children can move easily in them. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Suley Hussain

4th grade Music Ensemble Parents
Dear 4th Grade Before School Music Ensemble Parents,
We have been working hard before school over the past few months in our music ensemble. We are very excited to put on a showcase of all the music we have been creating. We will have a showcase on Wednesday, March 25th at 6:30 PM in the CRES Gym. **This was moved from the originally planned date of Thursday, the 19th due to Family Engineering Night. Students will report to the music room at 6:15 PM.
In order to be prepared for the concert, and to make up for the delay days, we will have one extra rehearsal the day of the concert: Wednesday March 25th at 8:00 AM. This will be in addition to the three remaining normal Tuesday rehearsals. Students should wear semi-formal attire such as they would for picture day. Any shoes are fine as long as children can move easily in them. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Suleman Hussain
