8th Grade Springfield Trip - - - Viaje a Springfield
The 8th grade adventures continue as students experienced our state capital, Springfield, Illinois! This was a special trip this year as compared to trips of the past because this is the last year 8th grade will be taking this trip. While in Springfield students received tours of the current Illinois Capital building, Abraham Lincoln's Tomb, the old state capital where Lincoln practiced law, the Vietnam, Korea and World War II memorials and the Lincoln Museum. Teachers, guides and chaperones were amazed at the students level of knowledge which was evident when they were unknowingly connecting their experiences to their current Civics and Economics standards! It was a great trip!

Safe Drop off and Pickup
Just a reminder to parents that students can only be dropped off/picked up at the GREEN locations on this map. We understand that when the weather is colder you don't want your student to be out in the cold, but we cannot have parents picking up students in the bus lane due to safety concerns. Thank you for your cooperation!
