Director's Notes

It is great to see the many strides the program continues to make through the challenges faced this year. It has been great to witness chamber groups, jazz band, percussion ensemble and soon to start winter guard and indoor drumline rehearsals being executed with a very successful return.

Thank you to the Chattahoochee Marching Band for a great season of commitment and dedication to the program. Our focus was to keep the band progressing, bonding, and performing and while keeping the training alive.

We have some great activities and events coming up, so be sure to check the calendar at www.chattahoocheeband.com/calendar to stay up with the dates. Be sure to click on the box for information and details. With any event, concert, rehearsal etc information will still be shared. Thank you and have a great week ahead.

Band Class, Marching and Winter Guard/Indoor Drumline Fees:

Winter Guard and Indoor Drumline:
Fees and a fee schedule will be released prior to the parent meeting once the band booster board has approved the budget. The only difference we will experience this year is no WGI. Local shows will be held so the season may look pretty close to normal.

Semester 1 Concert Music Classes

The $75 course fee for 1st, 5th, 6th and 7th periods this semester is past due. You can pay through “OSP” through the link below.

https://osp.osmsinc.com/FultonGA/BVModules/ProductTemplates/Bvc2013/Product.aspx?productid=EN704-296

You may also transfer money from your student account by contacting susanwillardhowell@yahoo.com

Semester 2 Concert Music Class Fees:

We anticipate a $100 music fee for second semester. We will publish a breakdown of finances as it relates to the cost. These fees are not due until January.

Marching Band Fees:

All fees should be paid in the amount of $450.00. Any member that wants to participate with the indoor drumline or Winter Guard must have these fees satisfied along with any prior year or past due amounts.

Fundraising

Fundraising needs Project-based volunteers to help reduce per student band fees for the 2021 season in the following ways:
1. Solicit meal donations for Friday night games
2. Solicit Community Sponsors for monetary donations
3. Raise funds to attend Bands of America
4. Raise funds for 2022 trip to Ireland
5. Get creative with other fundraising activities
If you’re passionate about finding ways to fund the CHS Bands program, but you’re limited on time, please consider joining on a project basis. Volunteers are encouraged to bring fundraising ideas and share tried & true methods. A meeting will be held with volunteers to discuss further.

Band Family Volunteer Spotlight

This week we want to feature the Prud’homme family, Glen, Jess
and Sophia.
Sophia is a Senior at Chattahoochee and participates in Color Guard and Winter Guard.
When not participating with Band, Jess says they enjoy spending time
with extended family, and feel fortunate that Sophia’s Grandparents live close enough to attend Band performances.
Over the years, Glen and Jess have been a huge help to the CHS Band
Program, and have put a lot of heart, and a good bit of time into jumping in
wherever they were needed. Thank you for all you do Glen, Jess and Sophia!
