Arrival & Dismissal Patterns
We have made some changes to our car line procedures to (hopefully) speed things up a bit. Please read on for more information.
From 7:00-7:30 and 2:30-3:00, traffic in and out of Lenape is ONE WAY. All traffic must enter from W. STATE STREET (202) and exit on to WEST STREET (back of building).
Bus Riders: Any student who rides a bus will enter the building through the doors next to the choir room. (no change)
Car Riders: Any student who arrives PRIOR TO 7:30AM by car will enter through the gym doors or cafeteria doors.
- Please use the “roller coaster” approach to dropping off to ensure that we have as many cars emptying at one time as possible.
- Pull up as far as possible. Once your car comes to a stop, students should disembark in the highlighted drop off/pick up zone (see map below) and should enter through the gym doors or cafeteria doors (whichever is closest).
- Cars must then exit on to West Street. PLEASE NO U-TURNS through the parking areas. Please be aware of ONE WAY SIGNS.
- For the students' safety, do not use the church or medical building parking lots for drop off.
- Please do not drive through bus lanes that run parallel to West State Street (RT. 202).
Any student who arrives after 7:30AM should enter through the main office door buzz-in system.
Students must be seated in first period by 7:30 in order to avoid being marked late.
Lunch Info
Breakfast: Hot and cold breakfast options will be available for purchase from 7:05 to 7:30 each morning in the cafeteria.
Lunch & Snacks: Every lunch must have at least 1 fruit or vegetable. There must be 3 (but no more than 5) components to make a meal. There are two service lines in the cafeteria, each with different options. Signs will be posted. Snacks and water bottles are also available for purchase.
Lunch and snack purchases can be made using the pin/code card that will be distributed on the first day of school. Both cash and lunch accounts will be accepted. You can add money to your child's account via MySchoolBucks or by giving a check to the cafeteria staff (it will take several days for the money to enter their account.)
Free & Reduced Lunch: Visit Food Services / Free & Reduced Lunch Application (cbsd.org) for more information and to apply for free or reduced lunch.

Attendance Procedures
Please use the following link for questions regarding Online Absence Requests: Managing Student Attendance 8.23.21.pdf (cbsd.org)
What is the procedure for student pickup during school hours?
All students must be physically signed out by a parent/guardian on a sign out sheet located in our vestibule.
Am I able to delete or change an absence request?
You are not able to delete or change a request; however, a new entry may be created with an explanation within the comment section – OR- you may call 267-893-2802.
How many absences (excused/unexcused) are allowed within the school year?
A maximum of ten (10) days of cumulative EXCUSED absences verified by parental notification shall be permitted during a school year. All absences beyond (10) cumulative days shall require an excuse from a medical professional.
When a student has been absent for three (3) days during the current school year WITHOUT a lawful excuse, district staff shall provide notice to the person in parental relation who resides in the same household as the student.
Truant shall mean having incurred three (3) or more school days of unexcused absences during the current school year by a child subject to compulsory school attendance.
Habitually truant shall mean six (6) or more school days of unexcused absences during the current school year by a child subject to compulsory school attendance.
How many tardies are allowed within the school year?
Every unexcused lateness, from the third time (and succeeding times), may result in a consequence. Late time may be accumulated and count toward illegal absences from school. Unexcused lateness in excess of half the school day will be considered an unlawful absence. Students must report to the office for attendance accounting when arriving late.
Such reasons as missing the bus, oversleeping, etc. are not valid excuses for lateness.

Student Services Department
Our Central Bucks “Guidance” Department will now be known as “Student Services” Department. We are making this name change K-12 to better represent the wide-range of services that our Department provides to students and families across the district. While we certainly provide “guidance” to students, our School Counselors, School Psychologists, Student Support Social Workers, Student Support Counselors, and Nurses provide services including academic planning; college and career planning; social and emotional programs and initiatives; physical wellness; connections to community resources (financial, housing, food, services); and educational record management. We look forward to seeing students and families in our Student Services Office!
News from the Nurse

Safe2Say
Safe2Say is a valuable resource that has been set up by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to provide a method for anyone to report a concern about a student or group of students 24/7. Please note some important reminders about the use of Safe2Say:
- If you put in a tip, please check back often for communications. The tip line is monitored 24/7 at the state level. The tip is sent to the school and/or police if it is deemed "Life Safety" immediately. It is sent in the morning if it is determined to be "Non-Life Safety."
- It is important to include as much information as possible. If you have evidence of your concerns, please share that evidence via the tip or with us. You can attach pictures and videos in the Safe2Say system.
Please remember that Safe2Say is statewide system that is used in collaboration with the State Attorney's Office, emergency responders, and school officials. It is important to know that tips are reviewed on the state level before being passed to the local police and/or school authorities. Please consider the purpose of your tip - Is it to provide another person with a way to receive help? Is it preventing an act of violence? Is it something that needs to involve local and state authorities? While the system is anonymous, abuse of the system will not be tolerated and actions will be taken if it is determined that the system is being used inappropriately.
